About the job:
The Logistics Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing supply chain and logistics operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods. The role involves monitoring transportation activities, inventory management, warehouse operations, and developing data-driven solutions to enhance overall logistics performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze logistics and supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution activities.
- Evaluate logistics costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Develop and maintain logistics performance metrics and KPIs.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for management review.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Track shipment status and resolve transportation-related issues.
- Support inventory planning and stock management activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis for delivery delays, inventory discrepancies, and operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in implementing logistics software, ERP systems, and process improvements.
- Forecast demand and support supply chain planning initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management and transportation processes.
- Ability to work with large datasets and generate actionable insights.
- Knowledge and understanding of Relex Software is mandatory.
