Role Description The Line Cook is a full-time, on-site role based in Sabhan. This role is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and stocking stations, performing basic food preparation, cooking dishes to order, and ensuring timely service during peak hours. The Line Cook also maintains cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, follows food safety and hygiene regulations, and assists with inventory, storage, and rotation of ingredients. Collaboration with other kitchen staff and supervisors is essential to support smooth kitchen operations and consistent meal quality.

Qualifications

Practical experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar kitchen role in a restaurant or food service environment.
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and portion control standards.
Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, follow directions, and manage time during busy service periods.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with kitchen and service staff.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistent food quality and presentation.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks safely.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Previous experience in a commercial or industrial kitchen and basic literacy in English or local languages is beneficial.
Formal culinary training or certification is an advantage but not required.
