Role Description The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients receiving home and facility-based services. This contract, on-site role is based in Doha, Qatar and involves delivering routine nursing procedures, administering medications as directed, monitoring vital signs, and documenting patient status accurately. The LPN will support daily living activities, reinforce health education, and collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other team members to follow individualized care plans. Additional duties include maintaining infection control standards, ensuring safe use of equipment, responding to changes in patient condition, and communicating effectively with patients and families. The LPN is expected to uphold professional and ethical standards, respect patient confidentiality, and contribute to a safe and supportive care environment.
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or equivalent nursing license, with eligibility to practice in Qatar.
- Proven experience in home care, community nursing, or clinical healthcare settings.
- Strong patient assessment, basic clinical care, and medication administration skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate, person-centered care and support activities of daily living.
- Effective communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and follow established care plans.
- Knowledge of infection control, safety procedures, and documentation standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by patient and service needs.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic documentation and communication.
- Relevant nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution; additional certifications in basic life support (BLS) or first aid are preferred.
