We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a Lessons Learned Lead. This is a long-term contract role. Please see details below.
Title: Lessons Learned LeadStart Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)
Location: Doha, Qatar
Working Schedule: 6 days per week / 8-10 hours per day or as per project requirement
Key Job Accountabilities
- Coordinate with Operations and other relevant stakeholders on the implementation of the Corporate Lessons Learned procedure in an optimal manner among PMTs, ensuring compliance while advising on opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance among PMTs to the Corporate Lessons Learned procedure as well as all relevant and suitable policies and procedures of the Company, including the Major Projects Project Management System (PMS).
- Develop standard or template Lessons Learned Plan (including registers) to be used by PMTs to make it possible to collate lessons across multiple disciplines and projects.
- Facilitate Lessons Learned key Workshops at governance stages of the projects to allow for capture of lessons in a timely manner and in accordance with procedure.
- Advise PMTs and Operations on key lessons captured in a timely manner so as Projects and Operations can benefit from key learnings immediately or in an appropriate timeframe.
- Review and standardize language used by PMTs to capture lessons to meet corporate objectives as well as remove ambiguity for future projects applying these lessons.
- Request, track, and review Projects Lessons Learned Monthly Reporting and submit to management PMT monthly status reports on lessons learned.
- Steward and update Lessons Learned library and dashboard. Lead the revision and enhancements of lessons learned tracking and sharing/implementation.
- Train appropriate PMT members on the implementation of the Lessons Learned procedure to meet expectations of PMS and management.
Qualifications--Minimum Requirements--
- Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering.
Knowledge and Key Skills
- 8 years’ experience in multiple project functions and assignments, e.g., project management, engineering, construction, procurement, etc. in the Oil & Gas Industry. including 1 year experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of contractor/sub-contractors/service/vendor personnel.
- Experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, sub-contractors, vendors or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.
- Broad experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
- Knowledge in project gating system, project execution plan, risk management, change management, commissioning, and hand over processes/procedures.
- Knowledge of international engineering standards, specifications and design.
- Experience with LNG facilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
