Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree
Master’s Degree (Not mandatory)
Experience
Minimum 15+ years of experience in Offshore Oil and Gas Projects
Minimum 10+ years of dedicated experience in Weight Control Reporting activities
Experience in developing and maintaining Weight Control Reports throughout all Project Phases from Concept to EPC and for all applicable design phases (Loadout, Transportation, Lifting, Operating phases).
Experience in Fixed Offshore Platform Jacket & Topsides weight reporting; Proven experience in managing weight budgets and weight growth control on major Offshore Projects
Experience in Brownfield Projects
Experience in Offshore Bridges, Flare structures, Modules
Strong Inter discipline coordination, client interactions and interface management skills
Job Requirements
Develop and implement Project Weight Control Procedure
Develop Weight Breakdown Structure
Establish Weight Contingency philosophy as per Project phase
Develop and implement weight growth monitoring/tracking mechanisms
Evaluate CoG for all items and define CoG envelopes for designing sensitive structures
Assess Lifting, Transportation and Installation CoG requirements
Coordinate with all disciplines for weight and CoG data. Review/validate discipline weight inputs for accuracy
Review various discipline deliverables (i.e., Structural MTO’s, Piping MTO’s, Vendor data, E&I layouts, HVAC layouts, Architectural drawings) and collect the weight data.
Review Technical Queries (TQs), Site Queries (SQs), and Management of Change (MOC) requests for weight impact.
Actively participate in Management of Change reviews and identity the weight impacts
Assess various weight limiting scenarios and define NTE values
Support weight optimization initiatives
Prepare and issue, Weight Control Repots, Weight status Reports, Weight growth Registers, Weight Forecast reports
Coordinate with Marine Warranty Surveyor on Weight related requirements
