- Education: Bachelor’s degree and MBA. Specialized SCM certification (CSCP) is highly preferred.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of latest trends in logistics, supply chain to drive efficiency and service levels.
- Career Evolution: Evidence of taking on "stretch" assignments or increased complexity in the last 3–5 years. 8+ years of relevant experience.
B: Role Overview
High-performing supply chain leader to manage and transform end-to-end supply chain, EXIM and logistics operations. This role offers growth trajectory into a full functional leadership position, working closely with senior leadership and regional stakeholders.
The candidate has strong operational fundamentals with ability to balance "hands-on" execution with "big-picture" strategy, driving digital transformation, trade compliance, and logistics excellence in a fast-paced environment.
C: Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain & Logistics
- End-to-End Ownership: Manage end-to-end supply chain operations including logistics planning, warehousing, inventory coordination and vendor management with focus on cost, service levels and reliability.
- Network Optimization: Continually evaluate the distribution footprint to reduce "Total Landed Cost" while improving service levels.
- Vendor Ecosystem: Lead 3PL selection and performance management, moving beyond coordination to strategic partnership.
2. Digital Transformation & Systems
- Data-Driven Decisions: Transition the function from reactive reporting to predictive analytics using ERP (Oracle preferred), TMS, and WMS.
- Process Automation: Drive adoption of data, analytics and automation for forecasting, tracking and performance management.
- Inventory Intelligence: Partner with Sales & Ops to optimize inventory turns and minimize working capital.
3. Compliance Mgmt (Internal and External)
- Regulatory Leadership: Handle team dealing with import and export operations ensuring compliance with Indian and international trade regulations.
- Risk Mgmt: Identify and manage risks arising from cross-border movements, processes and internal controls.
- Process Mgmt: Standardize and document all processes and guarantee process compliance.
4. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Cross-Functional Influence: Collaborate with Finance (GST/Tax), Manufacturing, and Sales to align supply chain with business goals.
- Regional Synergy: Work closely with global/regional stakeholders to implement best-in-class supply chain standards in India.
- People Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer centricity.

- Demonstrated Competence: Proven experience with ERP and modern supply chain tools.
- Strategic Agility: Ability to pivot from tactical firefighting to long-term structural planning.
- Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in using data to tell a story and justify Capex/Opex investments.
