Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Lawyer role based at مكتب محاماه in Al Jizah, Egypt. The Lawyer will provide legal advice and representation to clients across civil, commercial, and potentially criminal matters, preparing and reviewing contracts, legal opinions, and other documents. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and memoranda, attending court hearings and sessions, and following up on case progress with relevant authorities. The role also involves consulting with clients to understand their needs, developing case strategies, negotiating settlements when appropriate, and ensuring compliance with applicable Egyptian laws and regulations. The Lawyer will collaborate with colleagues in the firm, maintain accurate case files, and uphold strict confidentiality and professional ethics.
Qualifications
* Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills for preparing briefs, opinions, and case strategies.
* Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents.
* Proficiency in litigation procedures, including preparing pleadings, attending hearings, and interacting with courts and governmental bodies.
* Effective client communication skills, including the ability to explain legal concepts clearly and manage client expectations.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a law firm environment and coordinate with colleagues on complex cases.
* High level of integrity, professional ethics, and commitment to confidentiality.
* Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from an accredited university; admission to practice law in Egypt is required.
* Strong command of Arabic; working proficiency in English is an advantage.
* Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines.
* Prior experience in a law firm or corporate legal department in Egypt is preferred.
