Role Description The Laboratory Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Sulaymaniyah. The role involves performing routine and specialized laboratory tests, preparing and processing samples, and ensuring accurate documentation of results in accordance with established protocols. The Laboratory Technician will operate and maintain laboratory equipment, monitor supply levels, and follow strict hygiene and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with medical and nursing staff, assisting in quality control procedures, and helping troubleshoot basic technical issues. The role also requires adherence to regulatory guidelines, participation in internal training, and support for continuous improvement of laboratory workflows.
Qualifications
- Foundational laboratory skills, including sample collection, preparation, and execution of standard diagnostic tests.
- Ability to operate, calibrate, and maintain common laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, infection control, and proper handling of biological materials and chemicals.
