The purpose of the job is to use the required programming language to write, update and maintain programs to handle specific tasks.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications (often using frameworks like Spring Boot or Hibernate)
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code
- Implement RESTful APIs and microservices
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab
- Deploy applications to environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod)
- Work with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration like Kubernetes
- Ensure smooth release cycles and rollback strategies
- Design and optimize database queries (SQL/NoSQL)
- Work with databases such as Postgres, Oracle Database, or MongoDB
- Perform data migrations and ensure data integrity
- Optimize performance (indexes, query tuning)
- Work closely with QA, DevOps, business analysts, and stakeholders
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, stand-ups, sprint planning)
- Review code (peer reviews, pull requests)
- Document technical designs and APIs
