About the Role:
Al Gihaz Holding is seeking an experienced Investment Manager to join its Family Office Investment Department. The Investment Department manages investments for the Group and family shareholders, including evaluating new opportunities, executing strategic transactions, monitoring portfolio companies and supporting value creation initiatives. The Investment Manager will lead investment evaluations and transaction execution, oversee financial modelling and valuation workstreams, support portfolio management and provide clear investment recommendations to senior stakeholders. The role requires strong transaction experience, commercial judgement and the ability to manage multiple investment workstreams across different sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Evaluation & Execution:
- Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities through market research, networks and other relevant channels.
- Lead the evaluation and execution of investments, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and other strategic transactions from initial screening through due diligence, structuring, negotiation, approval and completion.
- Lead and coordinate key financial, commercial, legal, tax and technical due diligence workstreams.
- Evaluate transaction structures, financing alternatives and capital allocation opportunities.
- Identify key investment risks, potential mitigants and value creation opportunities.
- Prepare and present investment memoranda and decision materials to senior management, shareholders and the Investment Committee.
Financial Modelling & Valuation:
- Lead the preparation and review of financial models, business plans, valuation analyses and investment return assessments.
- Apply appropriate valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flow, comparable companies, precedent transactions and net asset value.
- Review transaction structures, funding requirements, capital structures and related scenario analyses.
- Review analyses prepared by management teams, financial institutions and external advisors and develop an independent investment view.
Portfolio Management:
- Monitor the financial and operational performance of portfolio companies against approved budgets, business plans and strategic objectives.
- Review portfolio-company budgets, forecasts, business plans, funding requirements and strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate performance, key risks and value creation opportunities.
- Support portfolio companies on strategic transactions, financing initiatives and other shareholder priorities.
- Prepare periodic portfolio reviews and performance updates for senior management and shareholders.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead project teams and oversee the work of junior investment professionals.
- Provide guidance and constructive review to strengthen the quality of investment analysis and team outputs.
- Build effective working relationships with shareholders, portfolio-company management teams, internal functions, advisors, financial institutions and transaction counterparties.
- Present investment opportunities, portfolio reviews and strategic recommendations clearly and effectively to senior stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline
- MBA, relevant postgraduate degree or CFA qualification is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience with a background in private equity, investment banking, principal investments, family offices, investment holding companies, transaction advisory or other relevant investment roles.
- Strong GCC experience, including direct Saudi Arabia investment or transaction experience, is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience executing investments or strategic transactions through the full transaction lifecycle.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis skills.
- Sound understanding of financial statements, business plans, transaction structures and capital allocation.
- Strong commercial judgement and ability to develop clear, evidence-based investment recommendations.
- Experience leading projects and reviewing the work of junior professionals.
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality outputs under tight timelines.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
