Role Description The Information Technology Support Specialist is a full-time, hybrid role based in Fayetteville, NC, with some flexibility for work from home. This role provides day-to-day technical support for desktop computers, peripheral devices, and standard software applications used across the organization. Responsibilities include responding to help desk tickets, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and assisting users with account access, connectivity, and application usage. The specialist will install, configure, and maintain workstations, coordinate repairs or replacements, and document incidents, resolutions, and procedures. This position collaborates closely with other IT team members to ensure reliable technology services, support system upgrades, and contribute to continuous improvement of IT support processes.
Qualifications
- * Demonstrated skills in Technical Support and Help Desk Support for end users across a variety of systems.
- Strong Troubleshooting abilities for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Experience supporting Desktop Computers, peripheral devices, and standard office productivity tools.
- Foundational knowledge of Information Technology principles, operating systems, and basic networking concepts.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues in clear terms.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple support requests, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) or equivalent experience are preferred.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is beneficial.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes.
