Role Description The Information Communication Technology Teacher will deliver engaging ICT lessons to students, following the school’s curriculum and integrating current technologies and digital tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and preparing lessons, designing assessments, grading student work, and providing constructive feedback to support learner progress. The teacher will manage classroom activities, maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, and differentiate instruction to meet a range of student abilities. Additional duties involve collaborating with colleagues, participating in school meetings and events, and contributing to the development of ICT-related extracurricular activities or projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Information Technology and Computer Science, with the ability to teach core ICT concepts and practical digital skills.
- Qualified Teacher status or equivalent teaching certification, with proven experience in lesson planning and curriculum delivery.
- Strong communication skills, including clear instructional language, effective classroom communication, and professional collaboration with staff and families.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, Education, or a closely related field; advanced degrees or specialized ICT teaching credentials are an advantage.
- Experience teaching in an international or multicultural school setting, with the ability to adapt to diverse student backgrounds and learning needs.
- Proficiency in using educational technologies, learning management systems, and interactive digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior positively, support student well-being, and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with emerging technologies and ICT education standards.
