KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Talent Acquisition & Talent Management
- Manage end-to-end talent acquisition activities by sourcing candidates through internal and external channels, conducting screening, headhunting, competency-based interviews, and coordinating hiring activities to ensure timely fulfillment of approved manpower requirements.
- Administer recruitment processes through Taleo by creating requisitions, managing candidate pipelines, coordinating interviews, updating recruitment stages, and maintaining recruitment records to ensure process efficiency and data accuracy.
- Prepare hiring recommendations and proposed employment offers by evaluating candidate qualifications, business requirements, and compensation guidelines before obtaining Compensation & Benefits review / approval to support competitive and compliant hiring decisions.
- Manage internal mobility activities by posting vacancies on the internal portal, screening applicants against eligibility criteria, conducting interviews, and processing approved movements through Hiring System (Taleo) to support career development and talent retention.
Performance Management, Employee Engagement & Employee Relations
- Administer the performance management cycle by coordinating goal setting, standardized objectives, mid-year reviews, year-end appraisals, calibration sessions, and performance improvement plans to ensure fair and consistent performance evaluation.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities by administering engagement surveys, conducting focus groups, preparing action plans, and monitoring implementation to improve employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
- Manage employee grievance cases by conducting meetings with employees and management, documenting findings, recommending actions, and following up on resolutions to ensure fair treatment and compliance with Bank policies.
Organization Development
- Develop and maintain job descriptions by conducting job analysis, reviewing business requirements, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure role clarity and organizational alignment.
- Participate in organizational structure reviews by coordinating with the Organization Development team, updating organization charts, and assessing organizational changes to support business requirements.
Workforce Analytics & Strategic Advisory
- Conduct exit interviews and market scans by analyzing resignation reasons, competitor movements, talent availability, and compensation trends to identify organizational gaps and support retention initiatives.
- Prepare workforce dashboards, retention cases, and contract non-renewal recommendations by analyzing workforce data, documenting business justifications, and preparing approval submissions to support management and executive decision-making.
Policies, Processes & Procedures
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, and standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Day-to-Day Management
- Follow the day-to-day operations related to the HR Business Partner function to ensure work continuity.
Compliance
- Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations, and internal Bank policies and Code of Conduct to maintain the Bank’s sound legal position and mitigate potential risks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within HR Business Partnering or Recruitment functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as HR Diploma, HR Certificate, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CIPD, or an equivalent HR qualification.
