Role Description The Housekeeping Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo, Egypt. This role oversees daily housekeeping operations, including room and public area cleaning, laundry services, and inventory of supplies and equipment. The Housekeeping Supervisor assigns tasks, monitors performance, and ensures that cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met across all properties. The role also involves inspecting rooms and common areas, coordinating with front office and maintenance teams, and addressing guest requests and concerns promptly. The Housekeeping Supervisor trains and coaches housekeeping team members, supports scheduling, and contributes to continuous improvement of procedures and service quality.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills with experience leading and motivating housekeeping or operations teams.
- Hands-on housekeeping expertise, including room cleaning standards, public area upkeep, and hygiene practices.
- Experience with laundry operations, including handling linens, managing washing and drying procedures, and maintaining equipment.
- Customer service and communication skills to respond to guest requests, resolve issues, and collaborate with internal teams.
- Ability to organize workloads, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety, sanitation, and quality control standards in hospitality settings.
- Previous experience in hotels, serviced apartments, or similar hospitality operations is preferred.
- Basic proficiency in relevant housekeeping and property management tools; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or management training is an advantage.
