Role Description
We are seeking an experienced HSE Engineer (Health, Safety & Environment) with a strong background in road and bridge construction projects to oversee health, safety, and environmental activities across our construction sites. The role is fully field-based, involving regular site inspections, risk assessments, safety monitoring, incident investigations, and coordination with project teams to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant HSE experience.
- Proven experience in road and bridge construction projects.
- Extensive experience in managing safety activities on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety regulations, standards, and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control measures.
- Experience in preparing and implementing Health and Safety Plans (HSE Plans).
- Experience in conducting site safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Strong knowledge of safety requirements for excavation, lifting operations, working at heights, and heavy equipment operations.
- Knowledge of traffic management plans and road work zone safety requirements.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management systems.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience in coordinating with project managers, consultants, contractors, and site teams.
- Strong communication, reporting, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
