Mark Williams are currently recruiting for a Head of Finance for a leading entity based in Abu Dubai. You will be working in a small team and report into the Finance Director. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to make an immediate impact
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the effective management of the finance function.
• Develop a strong financial control environment with appropriate policies, procedures and governance frameworks
• Provide senior management with clear financial information, commercial insight and recommendations
• Identify financial risks and implement appropriate controls and own the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles
• Produce regular budget-versus-actual analysis and explain key variances
• Develop financial models and scenarios
• Provide forward analysis of revenue, costs, cash flow and business performance
• Lead the preparation of monthly and periodic management accounts
• Produce financial reporting packs for senior management and relevant stakeholders
• Ensure management information is accurate, meaningful and delivered within agreed deadlines
• Develop appropriate KPIs and dashboards to improve visibility of financial operational performance
• Oversee cash flow management and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts
• Ensure controls are maintained for payments and treasury activities
• Maintain strong balance sheet controls and oversee month-end and year-end processes
• Ensure accounting practices comply with accounting standards
• Manage the annual external audit process from a finance perspective
• Build strong relationships with internal teams
• Challenge and support stakeholders on budgets, expenditure and financial performance
• Provide financial input into new initiatives, investments, contracts and business cases
• Lead improvements to finance systems, reporting tools and processes
• Explore the effective use of AI and digital tools within reporting, forecasting and financial analysis
Key Requirements
• Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA
• Worked in a SME/Start up previously
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Able to implement processes and best practice
• Excellent ERP knowledge
