Job PurposeDevelop and administer Air Freight Pricing plans, processes, programs and activities to deliver effective and efficient business outcomes in line with business needs and objectives, relevant strategies, frameworks and standards, Group guidelines and policies, and applicable legal, regulatory and compliance requirements. This includes leading air freight pricing execution within the assigned scope by managing RFQ quality, tariff governance, pricing-system discipline, and margin-control routines.
KEY TASKS
- * Manage day-to-day air freight pricing activity, prioritization and workload to ensure timely, efficient and competitive RFQ / quote responses.
- Execute pricing standards, RFQ governance, local tariff updates and customer-specific rate maintenance within the assigned scope.
- Ensure pricing requests are assessed against margin guardrails, product requirements, routing logic, carrier cost inputs, local charges and execution feasibility.
- Lead RFQ launch and alignment calls for high-priority or complex opportunities, ensuring clear ownership, milestones and assumptions.
- Monitor quote turnaround, pricing-data quality, manual-rate usage, deviation requests, rate validity and recurring defects.
- Coordinate with Growth to balance win ambition and margin discipline, and with SCM / Gateways to ensure carrier and routing assumptions are executable.
- Work with Operational Accounting and Implementation to reduce rate-loading errors, billing disputes, credit notes and revenue leakage linked to pricing setup.
- Ensure adoption of approved pricing tools, QuoteShop / CW1 standards and rate-loading discipline.
- Identify process, system or capability gaps affecting pricing performance and route enablement issues through approved GTOM / Solution Delivery channels.
- Develop team capability in pricing analysis, escalation judgment, stakeholder challenge and data discipline.
Skills And Knowledge Required
- * Strong experience in air freight pricing, quotation management and tender/RFQ processes
- Good understanding of air freight products, carrier networks, routing options and market dynamics
- Ability to develop competitive pricing solutions while maintaining commercial discipline and profitability
- Experience analyzing market trends, customer requirements, carrier costs and pricing performance data
- Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of margin management, yield optimization and revenue drivers
- Knowledge of tariff management, rate maintenance and pricing governance principles
- Experience working with pricing tools, rate management systems and data-driven decision making
- Ability to manage multiple complex opportunities and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable recommendations
- Experience partnering with Sales, Product, Operations, Procurement, Gateways and Finance teams to deliver customer solutions
- Ability to challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders to achieve commercially sound outcomes
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain pricing decisions to different audiences
- Experience supporting strategic customer opportunities and complex pricing scenarios
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and drive greater efficiency, accuracy and standardization
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Experience working in a global and cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders and cultures
- Ability to coach, mentor and share knowledge with colleagues and less experienced team members

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience in air freight pricing, commercial, product management, network, procurement or related logistics functions
