The group supports leading customers in technology-driven markets with innovative machinery, production systems and software solutions. For its Dutch operation, the company is looking for an experienced General Manager. The local organisation develops and supplies specialised technical solutions for high-quality manufacturing environments and provides related sales and service activities. The compact Dutch team combines specialist expertise with an entrepreneurial, hands-on culture and benefits from the capabilities, resources and international network of the wider group.
Main goal of the position
As General Manager you will lead the next phase of development of the Dutch organisation by combining operational excellence with commercial leadership. The primary focus is on strengthening organisational and financial performance, improving operational and project control, further developing the team and driving sustainable growth through business development, market expansion and effective collaboration with the international group.
The position
As General Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the Dutch operation, including its people, processes and business performance. You will have full P&L responsibility and oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital and project profitability. Visible and approachable on site, you will remain closely involved in day-to-day operations while building a scalable and future-proof organisation. You will be entrusted with the leadership of the Dutch operation and given the autonomy to shape its continued development. At the same time, you will not be left to navigate the challenges alone. You can actively rely on fellow Managing Directors, functional experts, group functions, R&D resources and international colleagues. With an understanding of cultural differences, you connect the local organisation with the international headquarters and create effective collaboration across the group. You know when to act independently and when consultation, alignment or support is required.
