Overview
Our client is looking for a French-English Bilingual Travel Specialist (Sabre GDS) to deliver high-touch, urgent support to travelers during critical moments outside standard business hours. You will act as a resourceful, calm expert resolving last-minute itinerary adjustments, hotel billing inquiries, and complex booking updates across phone, email, text, and chat channels. Schedule:
- Full-time, 40 hours a week (Mountain Time); includes weekends, early mornings, evenings, overnights, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to incoming client requests via phone, email, text, or chat.
- Provide same‑day itinerary confirmations and accurate travel documentation.
- Research solutions and make sound decisions that balance client needs with business requirements.
- Resolve a wide range of travel-related questions, concerns, and issues.
- Coordinate travel services and manage urgent or complex booking requests.
- Make outbound calls to hotel partners to confirm reservations and billing.
- Communicate professionally, clearly, and efficiently across all channels.
- Offer reliable, informed travel advice tailored to client needs.
- Document client issues for follow‑up and future reference.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of company products, services, and promotions.
- Support additional projects and assignments as needed.
Requirements
- Full fluency in English and French (verbal and written).
- 3+ years of experience as a Travel Agent or Travel Manager.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Sabre GDS.
- Proficiency with Sabre, Excel, and Word.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities.
- Outstanding time management skills—you’re organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks at once.
