Founder’s Associate
Full-time in Munich, primarily on-site with some flexibility.
IntroWe are building Counterfight AI, the infrastructure for how music rights are monetized in a world where content moves faster than traditional licensing ever could.
Our ambition is to fundamentally change music licensing by making rights identification, licensing, enforcement, and monetization technology-driven, global, and scalable from day one.
We are looking for a highly capable generalist who wants to work directly with the founder and take ownership across whatever matters most for the company at that moment.
This is not an assistant role and not a narrowly defined strategy role. You might refine our financial model in the morning, research a new market in the afternoon, prepare an important investor email in the founder’s voice, and speak with customers the next day.
We are still early. There will not always be a perfect process, detailed brief, or clear owner. Often, we will discuss a problem together, agree on the direction, and you will take it from there until it is actually finished.
A core part of the role is using AI to increase the speed and quality of how we operate. If something repeats, your instinct should be to ask whether it can be improved, systemized, automated, or turned into a tool.
Tasks
- * Own projects end to end, from rough idea to finished outcome.
- Build, refine, and maintain financial models, forecasts, scenario analyses, and unit economics.
- Run research projects across markets, competitors, customers, legal topics, partnerships, and new opportunities.
- Draft emails, messages, memos, presentations, and other communication in the founder’s tone with little to no refinement required.
- Speak with customers, partners, and prospects, understand their needs, and drive next steps.
- Take on special projects across fundraising, commercial initiatives, hiring, operations, and product.
- Use AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT for research, analysis, drafting, prototyping, and execution.
- Identify repetitive work and turn it into better systems, templates, automations, agents, scripts, dashboards, or lightweight internal tools.
- Follow up on dependencies, close open loops, and make sure tasks actually reach completion.
- Continuously look for ways to improve how the company operates instead of simply repeating existing workflows.
Requirements
- * Very high ownership: if you take something on, people should be able to assume it will get done.
- Strong generalist skills across numbers, writing, research, customers, operations, and strategy.
- Strong analytical ability and confidence working with financial data and models.
- Excellent written communication and the ability to quickly learn another person’s tone.
- Structured thinking and the ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear actions.
- Hands-on mentality with no hesitation to work on both high-level and very detailed tasks.
- Strong learning curve and the ability to become useful quickly in unfamiliar areas.
- Low ego and no need to be the center of every project.
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help others succeed.
- Comfortable with direct and frequent feedback.
- High attention to detail and a strong quality bar.
- Commercial mindset with an instinct for revenue, cost, speed, and leverage.
- AI-native way of working.
- Experience with Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools is highly beneficial.
- Experience with automations, agents, no-code tools, scripting, or lightweight internal tools is a strong plus.
Benefits
- * Highly competitive salary.
- Equity options, giving you the opportunity to participate directly in the company’s long-term success.
- Work directly with the founder and gain exposure to almost every part of building an early-stage company.
- Take real ownership rather than operating within a narrowly defined job description.
- Very steep learning curve across strategy, finance, sales, operations, fundraising, and product.
- High degree of autonomy once trust is established.
- Opportunity to build systems and processes that directly shape how the company operates.
- Work in an environment where AI and automation are part of how we operate, not side tools.
- Direct feedback and fast personal development.
- Significant responsibility from day one, with the role growing together with the company.
- A clear development path toward taking on a Chief of Staff role as the company and founder’s office scale.
- Opportunity to become a key part of the team as we scale internationally.
ClosingThe ideal person combines the analytical ability of a strong consultant or investment professional with the pragmatism of an early-stage operator.
You should be able to zoom out and understand the business, then zoom all the way in and make sure the email is right, the spreadsheet works, the customer gets an answer, and the project gets finished.
And when the same task comes back for the third time, we expect you to ask whether it should still be done manually at all.
We do not need someone who already knows everything.
We need someone who learns exceptionally quickly, takes responsibility, has a very high standard for their own work, and wants to use modern tools to continuously improve how the company operates.
Salary expectation: €65,000–€75,000 gross annually, depending on experience and fit.
You will not like this job if
- * You need clearly defined responsibilities, detailed instructions, and predictable projects before you can get started.
- You prefer advising, analysing, or presenting over actually owning execution and bringing things to completion.
- Direct feedback feels personal to you,
