Job Purpose
Food Safety Specialists are responsible for meeting food safety standards. They oversee that foods are processed, packaged, and prepared according to those specific standards. The standards can be implemented by their company or regulatory organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of 5s on food safety departments of the company and takes the necessary corrective and preventive actions in the case of any deviation with the concerned departments.
- Implementation Farm Frites Integrated management system and assure its compliance with ISO 9001/2015, 14001/2015, HACCP, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 22000, BRC & Customer requirements.
- Follow up Food Defense Program and assure its effectiveness.
- Implementation of internal reviews of ISO 9001/2015, 14001/2015, HACCP, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 22000 and issue the corrective and preventive actions and report them to the management representative for presenting it at the meetings of Management Review.
- Ensure that all workers have sufficient training before joining the work
- Verify product description and flow diagrams for all products regularly
- Follow up the corrective action reports to ensure that it’s based on root cause analysis
- Implement routine lethality validation program in accordance with farm frites requirements.
- Verify SSOPs for equipment that handles allergen containing foods and any specific sanitation activities that are designed to mitigate allergen cross contact.
- Cooperate to complete gap analysis of the facility against the housekeeping and sanitation standards.
- Cooperate to develop a plan to update current MSS, SSOPs and missing SSOPs to be more detailed (What , when ,who , how ) support with images
- Implement pathogen environmental monitoring program (pEMP) for target pathogens of concern, baseline risk assessment of all areas within the facility to define the pEMP starting stage.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Academic and professional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field required (Food Science)
Experience:
- Experience from 1 to 4 years in the field of food industries Food Safety - GMP-HACCP- 22000 –IFS-BRC.
