A senior Finance leadership opportunity with a diversified Oil & Gas organization, combining Finance Business Partnership, financial control, performance management, commercial decision support, ERP implementation and finance digital transformation across a multi-entity business operating in the UAE and wider region.
We are seeking a commercially minded finance leader who can partner with senior management, challenge constructively, strengthen governance and leverage technology, data and financial insight to drive better business decisions and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Finance & Business Partnership
- Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to senior business and operational leadership.
- Provide financial insight and constructive challenge on commercial decisions, bids, projects, investments and strategic initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, returns, resource utilization and overall business performance.
Financial Planning, Forecasting & Performance
- Lead annual budgets, forecasts, long-range plans and financial modelling.
- Develop scenario and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor financial and operational performance, risks and opportunities across multiple entities and business units.
Financial Reporting & Management Insight
- Own accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
- Lead variance analysis and provide meaningful management commentary and recommendations.
- Prepare management information, KPIs and financial analysis for senior and executive management.
- Improve reporting through greater automation, integration, data quality and real-time visibility.
Financial Control, Governance, Audit & Tax
- Own and strengthen the financial control and governance environment.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures and approval authorities.
- Identify control weaknesses and drive sustainable improvements.
- Coordinate audits, financial statements and relevant tax and regulatory requirements.
Cash, Working Capital & Cost Management
- Drive working-capital optimization, cash generation and cost discipline.
- Oversee receivables, collections and cash-flow forecasting.
- Partner with treasury and finance stakeholders on funding and liquidity requirements.
- Monitor cost performance and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and resource utilization.
Commercial & Investment Advisory
- Evaluate CAPEX, investments, business cases and strategic opportunities through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Provide commercial insight to support investment and resource-allocation decisions.
- Support the evaluation of new ventures, partnerships, acquisitions and regional expansion initiatives.
ERP, Finance Transformation & Digitalization
- Lead and drive finance transformation through ERP implementation, automation, analytics and digital processes.
- Act as the finance business owner for ERP initiatives, systems improvements and technology-enabled change.
- Improve P2P, O2C and R2R processes, efficiency, controls and integration.
- Drive greater use of data and analytics to enhance forecasting, profitability, working-capital management and decision support.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline finance processes while strengthening data quality, controls and reporting visibility.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, develop and mentor the finance team.
- Establish clear financial KPIs, performance standards and accountability.
- Build a strong Finance Business Partnership culture across Finance, Operations and Commercial functions.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of relevant finance experience, including 7+ years post-qualification.
- 5+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, Energy Services or related industrial services.
- CA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA — essential.
- Strong experience across financial controlling, FP&A, financial reporting, commercial finance and Finance Business Partnership.
- Proven experience managing finance across multiple entities / business units.
- Proven experience in ERP implementation, finance transformation, automation or digitalization — essential.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, working capital, cash flow and financial governance.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior operational and commercial leadership.
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and commercial decision-support capabilities.
- UAE / Middle East experience preferred.
- MBA and Arabic language capability would be advantageous.
