Role Description The Financial Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Erbil Governorate, Iraq. The role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, maintaining accurate ledgers, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The Financial Accountant will manage daily bookkeeping activities, oversee accounts payable and receivable, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and support month-end and year-end closing processes. The role also includes preparing financial reports for management, reconciling bank and account balances, and working with accounting software to streamline financial operations. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners to provide financial insights and support audits is an important part of the day-to-day responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should have experience with ERP system especially with odoo is an advantage.
- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Analytical Skills to interpret data, support decision-making, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting.
- Candidates should possess experience with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Accounting Software and related digital tools to manage records and optimize financial processes.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of general accounting principles, Iraqi tax and regulatory requirements, and internal control practices.
- Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and relevant professional experience in corporate or commercial environments.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work on-site within cross-functional teams; professional certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is an advantage.
