Black Pearl Consult is hiring an experienced Finance & SAP Cloud Implementation Consultant for an initial three-month assignment in the UAE.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who combines strong accounting and financial management expertise with practical SAP Cloud implementation experience.
The successful candidate will support the Finance team and SAP implementation programme across finance process transformation, business requirements, testing, data migration, reporting and go-live activities.
About the Role
The consultant will work closely with Finance, IT, SAP implementation teams and business stakeholders to ensure finance processes are effectively aligned with the SAP Cloud solution.
The role will involve supporting the implementation lifecycle from requirements gathering and fit-gap analysis through testing, UAT, data migration, cutover, go-live and post-go-live optimisation.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Support SAP Cloud implementation and finance transformation activities.
Gather and document business requirements from Finance and business stakeholders.
Conduct fit-gap analysis and support finance process mapping.
Align finance processes with SAP best practices and implementation requirements.
Support SAP system testing, UAT, defect resolution and issue tracking.
Assist with financial data migration, validation and reconciliation.
Support cutover, go-live and post-go-live stabilisation activities.
Provide functional support across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Asset Accounting.
Support Bank Accounting, bank reconciliations, Cash Management and Treasury processes.
Support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and management accounting activities.
Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts.
Conduct Budget vs Actual analysis and financial performance reporting.
Prepare management dashboards, KPI reports and finance analysis using advanced Excel.
Develop PowerPoint presentations and financial materials for management and steering committee meetings.
Support Tax, VAT and regulatory compliance requirements.
Work closely with Finance, IT, SAP implementation partners and other stakeholders to resolve functional and process issues.
Contribute to process optimisation and continuous improvement following implementation.
RequirementsWhat We're Looking For
5+ years of relevant experience across Finance, Accounting and/or SAP Finance implementation.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP Finance / SAP FICO / SAP S/4HANA or SAP Cloud implementation.
Practical experience supporting business requirements, fit-gap analysis, process mapping, testing, UAT, data migration, cutover and go-live.
Strong functional knowledge of GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Accounting, Reconciliations, Cash/Treasury, Budgeting and Financial Reporting.
Strong financial analysis and reporting skills with advanced Excel.
Experience preparing management accounts, KPI dashboards, Budget vs Actual analysis and management presentations.
Good understanding of Tax, VAT and financial compliance.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work across Finance, IT and SAP implementation teams.
Experience working with SAP implementation partners or consulting teams will be advantageous.
Qualifications

ACCA
CPA
CA / CPA / ACCA Finalist with relevant experience
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems or a related discipline
SAP S/4HANA Finance / SAP Cloud certification will be an advantage.

The ideal candidate should have:
A bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
Approximately 3-8 years of experience in oil and gas trading or industrial product trading.
Practical experience in sales coordination, sourcing, costing, estimation, and quotation preparation.
Knowledge of products such as valves, pipes, fittings, flanges, instrumentation, electrical products, mechanical products, rotating equipment, or other oil and gas materials.
The ability to read and understand RFQs, technical datasheets, specifications, and material standards.
Experience handling enquiries from ADNOC Group companies, EPC contractors, or major oil and gas customers is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Incoterms, international procurement, shipping requirements, and commercial documentation.
Experience supporting vendor registration and prequalification processes would be an advantage.
Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP-system skills.
Good communication, supplier-negotiation, and customer-coordination skills.
Strong attention to detail, particularly when preparing costing and quotations.
The ability to prioritize and manage multiple RFQs under tight deadlines.
Willingness to work six days per week in Abu Dhabi
