KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct and oversee all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy for the company and its development projects.
Develop financial models, feasibility studies, and cash flow projections for large-scale real estate developments.
Manage cross-border treasury operations, capital movement, foreign exchange exposure, and banking relationships.
Ensure full compliance with Syrian financial regulations, commercial laws, tax codes, and international accounting standards (IFRS).
Establish, implement, and maintain robust internal control frameworks, policies, and governance protocols to safeguard company assets.
Oversee project accounting, revenue recognition, inventory valuation, cost control, and contract financial management across all development stages.
Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and performance reports for the CFO and KSA headquarters.
Manage the annual audit process with external auditors, regulatory filings, and tax reporting.
Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing local finance and accounting team in Syria.
Coordinate with Legal, Sales, Procurement, and Development teams to ensure aligned commercial terms, escrow management, and operational efficiency.
Skills
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Economic, specialized in Accounting or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred.
Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CFA is required.
10 –15+ years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years in a manager level, proven track record in the Real Estate Development & Investment sector is preferred.
Deep knowledge of Syrian financial, tax, and legal frameworks, alongside KSA corporate reporting requirements.
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, ….) and financial modelling.
Strategic thinking, strong analytical mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and high adaptability under pressure.
Native Arabic fluency and excellent written and spoken English are strictly required.
