Role Description
A Finance Manager is responsible for managing financial operations, accounting activities, budgeting, reporting, cash flow, and financial controls while supporting business performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- * Manage daily finance and accounting operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and working capital.
- Review financial transactions, reconciliations, and accounting records.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Monitor financial performance, costs, expenses, and profitability.
- Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, tax advisors, suppliers, and customers.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies.
- Prepare financial analysis, management reports, and business performance updates.
- Identify financial risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost improvement.
- Support management with financial advice and business planning.
- Manage and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Improve finance processes, systems, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
* Relevant experience in finance or accounting management.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Experience with cash flow, working capital, cost control, and financial analysis.
* Good understanding of internal controls and financial procedures.
* Knowledge of IFRS and UAE tax/VAT requirements is advantageous.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Experience with SAP, Oracle, ERP, or accounting systems* is advantageous.
* Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet financial deadlines.
* ACCA, CPA, CMA, ACA, or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
* UAE/GCC finance and accounting experience is advantageous.
