Role Description The Carpenter at First Exchange will perform a range of on-site carpentry tasks to support the maintenance, renovation, and fit-out of company facilities in Muscat. Daily responsibilities include measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wooden structures, fixtures, partitions, and finishing elements to meet safety and quality standards. The role involves interpreting drawings and specifications, selecting appropriate materials, and using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. The Carpenter will inspect and repair existing installations, coordinate with maintenance and facilities teams, and ensure work areas are kept clean and organized. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Muscat.
Qualifications
- * Strong foundation in Carpentry, including construction, installation, and repair of wooden structures.
- Proficiency with Hand Tools and Power Tools, with a focus on safe and efficient operation.
- Experience in Framing and structural carpentry for walls, partitions, and support elements.
- Skill in Finish Carpentry, including doors, trims, cabinetry, and detailed interior work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and specifications.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and willingness to follow company safety procedures.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Previous experience as a Carpenter or in a similar trade role; vocational training or certification in carpentry is an advantage.
