Your new position and responsibilities
- Lead, develop and manage the Facility Management team, including goal setting, performance management, coaching and resource planning
- Ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of all buildings, facilities, technical infrastructure and site services
- Oversee the maintenance, repair and operational readiness of buildings, production facilities, utilities and technical systems
- Manage the operation and maintenance of electrical, HVAC, heating, ventilation, water, sewage, lighting and compressed air systems
- Plan, coordinate and supervise renovation, modernization, relocation and facility improvement projects
- Manage departmental budgets, monitor costs and implement measures to optimize resource utilization and operational efficiency
- Oversee external contractors, suppliers and service providers, ensuring high service quality and compliance with contractual obligations
- Ensure the timely completion of statutory inspections, audits, certifications and all facility-related documentation and permits
- Maintain compliance with all applicable legal, environmental, occupational health & safety and fire protection requirements
- Drive sustainability initiatives by monitoring energy and utility consumption, identifying savings opportunities and improving environmental performance
- Ensure safe, clean and functional workplace conditions across offices, production areas, welfare facilities and communal spaces
- Collaborate with Health & Safety, Security and Environmental teams to identify risks and implement preventive and corrective actions
- Support emergency preparedness, business continuity and site safety programs
- Identify and implement continuous improvement, digitalization and automation initiatives to enhance facility operations and service delivery
- Monitor project timelines, budgets and deliverables, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business objectives
- Represent the Facility Management function internally and externally, building effective relationships with stakeholders and service partners
Your Profile
- University degree in Facility Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a comparable technical field
- At least 10 years of professional experience in Facility Management, Technical Infrastructure, Maintenance, Building Services, or a related area, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in a manufacturing and/or automotive environment
- Proven experience managing facility-related projects, capital investments, suppliers, contractors, and external service providers
- Qualifications in accordance with the current competency matrix for key positions
- Strong knowledge of facility management, technical building systems, infrastructure operations, maintenance management, and preventive maintenance programs
- Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety, environmental, fire protection, and applicable labour regulations
- Experience in budget planning, cost control, resource optimization, and energy management initiatives
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Electrical qualifications and certifications are considered an advantage
