Fabrications Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fabrication, repair, and component maintenance activities in accordance with approved work plans.
- Ensure all tasks are completed within designated timeframes without compromising safety or quality.
- Comply with approved maintenance procedures, technical instructions, and applicable regulations.
- Ensure the availability of the correct tooling, equipment, and approved technical data required to perform maintenance activities.
- Monitor the operational readiness of workshop equipment and ensure required calibrations are completed.
- Identify and report equipment, facility, tooling, and maintenance deficiencies through the appropriate channels.
- Ensure maintenance activities are only performed by authorized and suitably qualified personnel.
- Promote and maintain a strong Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) culture.
- Maintain effective FOD prevention and surveillance within the workshop.
- Ensure all maintenance activities, test results, consumables, and relevant technical information are accurately recorded.
- Conduct appropriate oversight checks to maintain high standards of workshop organisation, housekeeping, quality, and safety.
- Review existing maintenance practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and report any deficiencies or practices that may affect personnel safety, component quality, or airworthiness.
- Support the training, development, and knowledge transfer of technical personnel.
- Contribute to achieving operational readiness and required performance measures.
- Promote a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) across the maintenance organisation.
Essential Requirements
- Recognized technical qualification such as NVQ Level 3, ONC, OND, BTEC, relevant technical apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification practical maintenance experience within an operational aircraft environment.
- Practical experience working in both Flight Line and Workshop environments.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
- Experience in the maintenance of military fast-jet aircraft or aircraft components.
- Understanding and application of Human Factors, Error Management, Health & Safety, and hazard identification.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative within the scope of the role.
- Strong attention to detail and a conscientious approach to work.
- Proven ability to meet strict deadlines without compromising safety, quality, or standards.
- Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience within the aerospace, defense, or military aviation industry.
- Experience with military fast-jet aircraft.
- Previous experience working within the Gulf aviation industry.
- Knowledge of established aircraft maintenance and engineering procedures.
- Experience using electronic maintenance and reporting systems.

The successful candidate will be expected to fully comply with applicable Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) requirements, attend mandatory safety training, participate in safety activities, and proactively identify and report any hazards that may affect personnel, equipment, or aircraft components.
