Environmental Engineer – Jade (Egypt)

Position Summary
The Environmental Engineer is responsible for aligning Jade's environmental processes across all locations with Yeşim Group global standards, policies, and procedures, and for taking part in Group-led environmental projects on the ground at Jade. The role reports to the Sustainability Director of Yeşim Group.
Key Responsibilities:
Alignment and Coordination
- Align Jade's environmental practices and processes across all locations with Yeşim Group global standards, policies, and procedures,
- Coordinate Jade's side of global environmental regulatory compliance projects.
Environmental Projects
- Take part in Group-led environmental projects at Jade — such as SBTi, CDP, Water Footprint, Carbon Footprint, waste management, and energy-water efficiency — coordinating and following up on on-site implementation,
- Contribute to environmental data preparation (carbon footprint, energy, water, waste) for projects,
- Support Jade's environmental audit, traceability, and certification processes as needed.
Data and Reporting Support
- Support the collection of Jade's environmental data in line with Group methodology, ensuring consistency and regularity,
- Contribute to environmental target-vs-actual analyses and management reports,
- Provide environmental data and analysis support for reporting under GRI, UNGC, and ESRS etc frameworks.
Supply Chain and Stakeholder Management
- Support the alignment of Jade subcontractors' environmental processes (Higg Index FEM, GTW) with Group expectations; accompany third-party audits as needed,
- Support traceability audit processes,
- Organize internal and external environmental training activities,
- Take an active role in the environmental workstream of the ESG Committee to be established; participate in environmental events and collaboration initiatives with external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering,
- Minimum 2–3 years of field-oriented environmental engineering experience; preferably in the manufacturing sector,
- Experience in waste management, water-energy efficiency, water footprint, and carbon footprint,
- Strong knowledge of global environmental regulations, ISO 14001, and Egyptian environmental legislation,
- Familiarity with Higg Index FEM, GTW and environmental reporting frameworks such as CDP, SBTi, GRI, UNGC, and ESRS etc.
- Proficiency in MS Office,
- Advanced English and Arabic (written and spoken),
- Project management skills; strong coordination and follow-up capability,
- Collaborative, proactive, positive, and solution-oriented approach,
- Ability to travel regularly across all locations.
