Location: AUH - UAEHybrid working: 4 days in the office, 1 day from homeWe are looking for an experienced hands-on Engineering Manager to lead our Infrastructure and Services team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing high-performing teams while being deeply involved in the technical aspects of highly scalable systems.
Expertise in Node.js and TypeScript is essential, with a strong preference for additional experience in Go and AdTech.
*Key Responsibilities:*
*Qualifications:** 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role. * Demonstrable expertise in Node.js and TypeScript. * Proven experience designing, operating, and scaling complex infrastructure on cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform. * Strong expertise in relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, and in-memory data stores, such as Redis. * Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools, along with a strong interest in applying AI to engineering workflows and automation. * Extensive experience delivering high-scale, high-performance solutions. * Strong leadership and team-building skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure.
*Nice-to-have:** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science. * Proficiency in Go is highly desirable. * Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks and libraries used with TypeScript, such as SvelteKit or React, is a plus. * In-depth understanding of the AdTech industry is a plus.
