Role Description The Emergency Room Nurse is a full-time, on-site role located in Muscat. This role involves triaging patients on arrival, performing rapid assessments, and providing timely emergency nursing interventions under established protocols and physician guidance. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, assisting with emergency procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient care. The nurse will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with patients and families, and participate in maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant emergency department environment. The role also includes supporting infection control, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and mentoring junior staff when needed.
Qualifications
* Strong Emergency Nursing and Nursing skills, with the ability to manage high-acuity cases in a fast-paced environment.
* Solid foundation in Medicine and Critical Care Medicine to support effective clinical decision-making in the emergency setting.
* Demonstrated excellence in Patient Care, including compassionate communication, cultural sensitivity, and respect for patient dignity.
* Valid nursing license/registration and completion of an accredited nursing program (BSN or equivalent preferred).
* Relevant emergency or critical care certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS or equivalent) and commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Ability to work rotating shifts, remain calm under pressure, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience in an emergency department or acute care setting is highly beneficial; prior work in facilities aligned with international standards is an advantage.
