🎯 What You'll Do
- Execute brownfield, greenfield, and CAPEX projects: review SLDs, schematics, and cable schedules, supervise installation, and manage MOC and closeout documentation.
- Commission and test MV/LV switchgear, transformers, motors, feeders, RMUs, GIS, and control panels, including FAT, SAT, PSSR, and energization.
- Carry out protection and relay testing: primary and secondary injection, differential, REF/SEF, and busbar schemes, plus relay coordination, retrofitting, and settings (PCM600, DIGSI).
- Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, condition monitoring, and Root Cause Analysis to improve equipment availability and reliability.
- Plan and execute shutdowns and turnarounds: isolation, source changeover, transformer charging, and switchgear replacement, safely and on schedule.
- Perform and review engineering calculations (cable sizing, load, voltage-drop, UPS, protection settings) and verify vendor documents and equipment ratings.
- Coordinate contractors, OEMs, consultants, and internal teams, acting as the technical point of contact for commissioning and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, HSE requirements, and client standards, and promote safe work practices on site.
✅ What You'll Bring
- 5–10 years across electrical projects, testing, commissioning, maintenance, or reliability, with GCC/UAE experience preferred.
- Hands-on expertise with MV/HV equipment, substations, protection schemes, and relay testing.
- Ability to interpret SLDs, schematics, protection drawings, and cable schedules, and to perform cable/load/voltage-drop and protection calculations.
- Knowledge of electrical safety, isolation, and LOTO; working knowledge of SAP and MS Office.
- UAE Society of Engineers registration and Siemens switchgear/GIS experience are an advantage.
