Role Description The Elec-Tender Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Giza, responsible for preparing and managing electrical tender documents for MEP and infrastructure projects. Day-to-day duties include reviewing project specifications and drawings, performing quantity take-offs, developing cost estimates, and preparing technical and financial proposals for tenders. The role involves coordinating with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure proposals are accurate, compliant, and competitive, as well as liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate quotations. The Elec-Tender Engineer will analyze client requirements, participate in clarification meetings, support value engineering efforts, and maintain organized records of tender submissions and outcomes. The position also requires staying updated on relevant standards, regulations, and market prices for electrical materials and systems.
Qualifications
- * Strong electrical engineering knowledge, including power distribution, lighting, low current systems, and familiarity with MEP integration.
- Experience in tendering and estimation for electrical works, including quantity surveying, cost analysis, and preparation of technical and financial offers.
- Proficiency in engineering and office software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office, Excel for BOQs, and basic design/estimation tools).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple tenders and meet strict deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; previous experience in MEP or infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations applicable to electrical installations and construction projects in Egypt.
