Director - Procurement & Contracts
Real Estate Developer, Riyadh KSA
We are partnering with a leading real estate developer in Riyadh to appoint a Procurement & Contracts Director to lead and oversee the entire Procurement & Contracts Division across a portfolio of large-scale developments, including high-rise residential towers, hospitality assets, mixed-use destinations, luxury communities, and master-planned developments.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving procurement strategy, contract governance, commercial risk management, supplier performance, and cost optimization while ensuring successful project delivery across multiple developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Procurement & Contracts Division, including procurement, tendering, contract administration, and commercial governance.
- Develop and implement procurement and contracting strategies aligned with business objectives and project delivery requirements.
- Oversee the full procurement lifecycle, including vendor prequalification, RFPs, tender evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
- Lead commercial negotiations for major construction, consultancy, hospitality, and infrastructure contracts.
- Manage all contract administration activities, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and effective change management.
- Establish procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks in line with international best practices.
- Drive value engineering, cost efficiency, and procurement optimization initiatives across projects.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Development, Design, Projects, Finance, Legal, and Executive Management teams.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and contracts team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree or professional certifications such as MRICS, MCIPS, PMP, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in Procurement, Contracts, Commercial Management, or Quantity Surveying.
- Proven experience leading both Procurement and Contracts functions within a major Real Estate Developer, Master Developer, or Development Authority.
- Strong experience delivering high-rise residential towers, luxury hospitality developments, mixed-use projects, and large-scale master-planned communities.
- Extensive knowledge of construction procurement, contract administration, and commercial management.
- Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts, procurement best practices, and contract governance.
- Demonstrated success managing large procurement budgets and complex commercial negotiations.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and team development capabilities.
