Then this could be the ideal role for you!What does a Customs Supervisor do?As a Customs Supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring that the Customs department performs at its best. The department is responsible for complying with all customs-related laws and regulations concerning the import, transit, and export of goods. In this role, you will manage a team of 10–15 colleagues, ensuring that agreed targets are achieved, the team works efficiently and effectively, and workplace safety is maintained.
Because the colleagues you manage have such a diverse range of responsibilities, you remain involved in all processes. You ensure that everything is carried out within the established guidelines and that the targets for the number of cases resolved per day, as well as the quality of the work, are achieved. You also know how to distribute the workload effectively, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and to the full satisfaction of our internal and external customers. You are the point of contact for both your team and the customer. This means you will have a great deal of responsibility and will work independently.

This is youYou have several years of management experience within a customs environment and are confident and assertive in your role. You excel at what you do and are decisive. You are also able to motivate employees and help them develop their skills and reach a higher level in their personal and professional development.
In addition, you have at least:
- MBO+ / HBO level of education and thinking (vocational higher education / bachelor's level)
- A Customs Declaration Specialist diploma and/or knowledge of customs legislation, or a willingness to pursue the relevant training in the short term
- 3 years of management experience within a customs or other logistics environment
- Excellent verbal and written command of both Dutch and English. English is the primary working language
- Strong interpersonal skills for maintaining internal and external operational relationships and managing the team
