We are looking for an experienced Consultant Radiation Oncologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in radiation therapy, cancer treatment planning, and the management of patients with solid tumors and selected hematological malignancies, with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and comprehensive multidisciplinary cancer care.
Key Responsibilities
- * Provide comprehensive consultation, assessment, diagnosis, and radiation oncology management for patients with malignant conditions
- Evaluate patients with solid tumors, including breast, lung, prostate, gastrointestinal, gynecological, head and neck, and central nervous system cancers
- Develop individualized radiotherapy treatment plans based on clinical assessment, tumor staging, imaging, pathology, and multidisciplinary recommendations
- Prescribe and oversee external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) using modern radiation treatment techniques
- Plan and supervise advanced radiotherapy techniques, including IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SBRT, and SRS, where appropriately trained
- Perform or supervise brachytherapy procedures where appropriately trained and authorized
- Coordinate radiation treatment simulation, contouring, target-volume delineation, and dose prescription
- Collaborate with medical physicists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists to ensure accurate treatment planning and delivery
- Evaluate and manage patients receiving curative, adjuvant, neoadjuvant, and palliative radiotherapy
- Monitor treatment response, radiation-related toxicities, and potential complications
- Manage acute and late radiation side effects and provide appropriate supportive care
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and contribute to comprehensive cancer treatment planning
- Coordinate combined-modality treatment with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, and other specialists
- Review relevant investigations, including CT, MRI, PET-CT, pathology reports, and molecular diagnostic findings
- Provide long-term follow-up, surveillance, and survivorship care for patients undergoing radiation therapy
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment options, expected outcomes, potential side effects, and follow-up care
- Supervise and mentor junior physicians, radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety, treatment quality assurance, clinical governance, and patient-safety standards
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, clinical trials, and CME activities
Requirements*Qualifications** MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree
* Recognized postgraduate qualification in Radiation Oncology / Radiotherapy
* Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant qualification
* Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Radiation Oncology is highly desirable
* Minimum 5-10 years of post-specialization experience in Radiation Oncology
* Strong clinical experience in managing patients with solid tumors and delivering modern radiotherapy treatments
* Demonstrated competence in radiotherapy planning, target-volume delineation, treatment prescription, and radiation toxicity management
* Experience with IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SBRT, or SRS is highly desirable
* Experience in multidisciplinary cancer care and advanced radiotherapy technologies
* Eligible for DHA Consultant classification/license in Dubai, subject to applicable qualification and experience requirements
* Excellent clinical judgment, communication, leadership, and patient-management skills
