Commercial Manager - Fit Out - Dubai, UAE
About the role
Ardent Build Partners is recruiting a Commercial Manager for a well established Dubai fit out contractor. The business delivers high end commercial, retail, hospitality and residential interiors across the UAE, with a strong pipeline and repeat clients.
You will lead the commercial function across a portfolio of live projects, report into senior management and own the numbers from tender handover to final account.
Key responsibilities
- Lead commercial management across multiple fit out projects from award to final account
- Manage, mentor and develop a team of QSs
- Review and administer main contracts and subcontracts, flag risk early
- Own monthly cost reports, cost to complete, cash flow and margin forecasting
- Drive payment applications, valuations and collection
- Manage variations, change orders and claims, and protect entitlement
- Lead procurement and subcontractor negotiations
- Settle final accounts with clients and subcontractors
- Present commercial position to directors and clients
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
- 10+ years experience, with at least 3 years as Commercial Manager or Lead QS leading a team
- Strong UAE fit out contractor background is essential
- Solid knowledge of FIDIC and UAE contract practice
- Proven track record on final accounts, variations and claims
- Confident communicator, comfortable leading client meetings
- Currently based in the UAE
