General Overview:
We are supporting our client in their search for an experienced Claims Executive to join their Dubai team, with responsibility for managing non-medical, non-life claims across the full claims lifecycle. The role will work closely with clients, Account Executives, brokers, insurers, reinsurers, loss adjusters, and internal teams to ensure claims are handled efficiently and in line with required standards.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical claims knowledge, sound judgement, and excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to investigate and negotiate claims, maintain accurate documentation, identify emerging issues, and support optimal client outcomes while maintaining strong compliance and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims Management & Investigation:
- Receive, process, and manage claims notifications, supporting documents, and related reports.
- Review policy slips, wordings, and relevant documentation to assess coverage and recommend appropriate actions.
- Conduct investigations and gather relevant information where required to support claims assessment.
- Investigate and negotiate claims settlements to achieve appropriate client outcomes.
- Prepare and maintain complete claims files with a clear audit trail and all required documentation.
Market & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Work closely with the Claims Manager, Account Executives, Brokers, Placing and Wordings teams, Accounts, and Compliance.
- Coordinate with local and international (re)insurers, clients, lawyers, and loss adjusters throughout the claims process.
- Notify relevant layers and connected reinsurance parties where appropriate to minimize the risk of claims rejection.
- Provide timely updates and advice on problems, emerging issues, and claims developments.
- Provide claims statistics and relevant insights to support renewal and client discussions.
Claims Administration & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate diary notes, databases, electronic records, and hard-copy files.
- Ensure timely preparation of documentation required to support claims settlement and payment.
- Monitor credit control, collection, and transfer of funds, including relevant third-party notifications.
- Provide accurate claims statistics and management information as required.
- Maintain technical and documentation standards to minimise rework and potential E&O exposure.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all claims activities comply with applicable legal, regulatory, market, and internal best-practice requirements.
- Follow claims process controls designed to mitigate money laundering and financial crime risks.
- Identify and report suspicious financial circumstances or transactions to the appropriate Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
- Maintain confidentiality across claims systems, records, and procedures.
Key Requirements:
Experience & Technical Knowledge:
- 5+ years of experience in non-medical, non-life claims is mandatory.
- Previous claims experience within a broker, insurer, or reinsurer environment.
- Exposure to local or international insurance markets, with experience handling complex or large corporate claims preferred.
- Strong understanding of claims processes, policy documentation, settlements, and (re)insurance coordination.
- Working knowledge of DFSA Conduct of Business, AML, and financial crime prevention requirements is preferred.
- Familiarity with claims management processes and core insurance systems.
