About the Role
A leading chocolate manufacturing unit is looking for a skilled, creative Chocolatier to lead the hands-on production of the business's chocolate desserts, cakes, chocolate bars, and specialty confections. The successful candidate should be comfortable independently developing recipes, tempering and molding chocolate, executing intricate decorative work, and maintaining consistent quality across the full product range - from gift boxes and celebration cakes to the vegan collection.
The role is best suited to someone who is precise, creative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, quality-driven kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilitie
• Prepare, temper, and mold chocolate for bars, pralines, boxes, and specialty items.
• Design and execute chocolate cakes, desserts, and pastries to a consistently high standard.
• Develop and refine recipes, including for the vegan collection, in line with seasonal and promotional needs.
• Decorate chocolates, cakes, and trays with precision, ensuring visual presentation matches brand standards.
• Monitor and maintain correct storage, tempering, and handling conditions for chocolate and finished products.
• Manage inventory of chocolate, ingredients, and packaging materials, and flag shortages in advance.
• Ensure all products meet food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at every stage of production.
• Collaborate with the café and kitchen team to plan daily and seasonal production schedules.
• Support the creation of new product lines, seasonal collections, and custom or bespoke orders.
• Package finished products for retail display and delivery orders, maintaining presentation standards.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff or assistants where required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and well stocked chocolate production area.
• Assist with costing and portion control to manage wastage and ingredient use.
• Prepare ad-hoc or custom orders as requested by management or customers.
Candidate Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Chocolatier, pastry chef or in chocolate/confectionery production.
• Culinary or pastry arts qualification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong knowledge of chocolate tempering, moulding and decorating techniques.
• Experience developing recipes, including for vegan or dietary-specific products, is an advantage.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen handling standards.
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of presentation and craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and manage production timelines under pressure.
• Strong organisational and inventory management skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Experience in F&B, café, bakery or a similar operational environment would be an advantage
