Role Description : We are looking for a CAD Technician with mandatory hands-on experience preparing technical drawings for furniture production. This role requires someone who understands how furniture is constructed and can produce drawings that a workshop can use to manufacture it.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare detailed, production-ready furniture drawings, including plans, elevations, sectional details, dimensions and assembly details.
- Specify materials, finishes, hardware, joinery methods and construction details clearly in drawings.
- Translate approved designs into accurate AutoCAD drawings for manufacturing.
- Coordinate with the design and production teams to resolve technical issues before fabrication.
- Revise drawings following production feedback and maintain accurate final drawing records.
- Verify site measurements and installation requirements when needed.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in furniture production drawings in UAE is mandatory.
- Strong AutoCAD skills and practical knowledge of furniture construction, materials and hardware.
- Ability to prepare detailed drawings independently for workshop production.
- Experience with bespoke furniture and joinery is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet project deadlines.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
Qualifications
- Relevant technical diploma in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) with specific experience in fit-out and joinery detailing.
- Experience preparing shop drawings, cutting lists, and technical documentation for furniture, joinery, and interior projects.
- Knowledge of materials, hardware, and fabrication methods commonly used in high-end furniture and joinery.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, and commitment to accuracy and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
