Dhaba began by the warmth of Chef Enayatullah Safi's grandmother's tandoor in Afghanistan. His journey carried him through the streets of India, which gave Dhaba its soul, and into the kitchens of Copenhagen, where he learned precision and respect for every ingredient. Now, in Abu Dhabi, all of those chapters come together at one table.
At Dhaba, every dish carries a story, and it deserves to arrive at the table perfectly. We are looking for energetic, reliable Food Runners to join our pre-opening team and connect our kitchen with our guests.
The Role
Reporting to the Restaurant Supervisor, you will make sure every dish leaves the kitchen and reaches the guest hot, fresh and exactly as the chef intended, supporting the service team for a smooth, seamless dining experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct tables quickly and accurately
- Check each dish against the order for accuracy and presentation before it leaves the pass
- Introduce dishes to guests with a brief, confident description
- Communicate clearly between the kitchen and service team on timing and special requests
- Clear tables and reset the dining area between courses and guests
- Keep side stations stocked with cutlery, crockery, napkins and condiments
- Support servers during busy periods to keep service flowing
- Follow hygiene, safety and grooming standards at all times
What You Bring
- At least 1 year of experience as a Food Runner, Busser or Commis Waiter in a restaurant or hotel
- Good spoken English; additional languages are an advantage
- Energy, speed and a sharp eye for detail
- A positive attitude and polished, professional appearance
- A team player who stays calm in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand, walk and carry trays for long periods
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
