About The Role & TeamAs a Business Development Specialist, you will play a key role in driving business growth, expanding customer relationships, and increasing market presence across a defined portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Business Development KSA, you will focus on expanding SITA’s presence across the core airport and wider aviation ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. Working closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams, you will proactively identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities, establish new customer relationships and develop new prospects, and build a sustainable pipeline across the assigned market.
Success in this role requires a combination of commercial acumen, consultative selling capabilities, and strong relationship-building skills. In addition, the role demands the ability to leverage Strategic Storytelling & Executive Communication to communicate value effectively and Ecosystem Partnerships & Hunter Growth to identify new opportunities, expand market reach, and accelerate pipeline growth. Through strategic customer engagement and proactive business development activities, you will help position SITA as a trusted partner and drive sustainable business growth.
The target ecosystem includes airport operators, aviation authorities, government entities, ground handlers, airport service providers, infrastructure developers, technology partners, and other organizations supporting the growth of Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector.

- * Identify, develop, and qualify new business opportunities across prospective customers, new buying centers within existing customers, and the wider airport and aviation ecosystem.
- Support revenue growth initiatives through upselling, cross-selling, and proactive customer engagement activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
- Execute targeted demand generation and prospecting activities to increase market awareness and create sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sales teams to develop customer and opportunity strategies, while taking ownership of assigned opportunities from initial identification and qualification through proposal development and commercial progression.
- Support customer meetings, presentations, workshops, webinars, and industry events to promote SITA solutions and value propositions.
- Build and maintain a healthy, qualified, and accurate pipeline aligned with agreed pipeline-generation, opportunity-conversion, and growth objectives, ensuring all activities and opportunities are kept current in SITA’s CRM.
- Support proposal development, RFP responses, and customer-facing commercial documentation.
- Gather and communicate intelligence on Saudi aviation developments, airport investment programs, customer priorities, procurement plans, competitors, and emerging market opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of customer success stories, value propositions, and sales enablement content that enhances commercial effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain a structured map of the Saudi airport and aviation ecosystem, including key organizations, decision-makers, influencers, partners, investment priorities, and upcoming projects.
- Proactively prospect for new customers and identify whitespace opportunities where SITA has limited or no existing commercial presence.
- Identify and engage relevant ecosystem partners, consultants, system integrators, and industry stakeholders to extend SITA’s market reach and support partner-led opportunity creation.
QualificationsABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- * Native Arabic speaker with 4–7 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, market development, or customer-facing commercial roles, with evidence of contributing to pipeline creation, opportunity development, and revenue growth.
- Relevant business development or sales experience within aviation, airports, transportation technology, infrastructure, enterprise technology, or another complex B2B environment.
- Demonstrated ability in Strategic Storytelling & Executive Communication by translating complex technology capabilities into compelling business outcomes that resonate with customers and support commercial growth.
- Proven expertise in building persuasive customer presentations, business cases, and value-based messaging that drive customer engagement and improve sales effectiveness.
- Strong capability in communicating with customer stakeholders and business decision-makers, tailoring messages to different audiences and business priorities.
- Proven experience in Ecosystem Partnerships & Hunter Growth, supporting the identification of new business opportunities, development of customer relationships, and expansion into new buying centers.
- Demonstrated ability to generate demand through prospecting, networking, industry engagement, and targeted business development initiatives.
- Comfortable navigating competitive market environments and using commercial insights to support opportunity development and customer acquisition.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Solution Engineering teams to achieve business growth objectives.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish credibility and create trusted partnerships that contribute to long-term customer success.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage customer insights, market intelligence, and pipeline information to support commercial decision-making.
- Results-oriented professional with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities, overcoming challenges, and achieving growth targets.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within Saudi Arabia to develop customer and ecosystem relationships.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- * Experience in the aviation, air transport, airport operations, airline, border management, or transportation technology industry.
- Experience working with digital transformation, aviation technology, or enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with Saudi market dynamics or prior work experience in the Kingdom.
- Experience supporting business development activities within government and public sector organizations.
- Experience engaging with Saudi government and public-sector organizations, including familiarity with formal procurement, tender, and RFP processes.
