Job Brief:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager – CNC Machined Parts to drive sales growth in the region by winning new customers and developing repeat business with existing accounts.
The primary focus of the role is selling CNC machining services and parts manufactured to customer drawings and specifications. The role also covers welded fabrications where customer requirements align with the company’s manufacturing capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:
Business Development and Sales
- Identify and win local and export customers requiring CNC-machined components, including OEMs, equipment manufacturers, oil & gas companies, and other related sectors.
- Develop a focused account plan covering priority customers, decision-makers, and sales opportunities.
- Generate enquiries through customer visits, prospecting, referrals, and industry networking.
- Build relationships with procurement, engineering, production, and maintenance teams.
- Convert initial enquiries into trial orders, repeat orders, and longer-term supply agreements.
- Identify opportunities for welded fabrications alongside the core CNC machining offering.
Technical Sales and Quotations
- Understand customer requirements, including drawings, materials, quantities, tolerances, finishes, inspection requirements, and delivery schedules.
- Work with the estimation, engineering, and production teams to confirm manufacturing feasibility, pricing, and lead times.
- Ensure enquiries contain sufficient technical and commercial information for accurate quotations.
- Present quotations, follow up consistently, and negotiate within agreed pricing and margin limits.
- Coordinate technical clarifications and communicate the company’s capabilities accurately.
Account Management and Delivery Coordination
- Maintain ownership of customer relationships from initial enquiry through order delivery and repeat business.
- Provide clear handovers of purchase orders, specifications, and agreed terms to internal teams.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve customer concerns and communicate delivery updates.
- Support Finance with payment follow-up and the resolution of commercial queries.
- Gather customer feedback to improve service and identify further sales opportunities.
Sales Planning and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of customer activity, enquiries, quotations, and opportunities in the company’s CRM or sales reporting system.
- Provide regular forecasts supported by realistic order values, expected close dates, and next actions.
- Monitor competitor activity, customer buying requirements, and market pricing.
- Contribute to sales budgeting and identify opportunities that suit the company’s available manufacturing capacity.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated B2B sales or business development experience in CNC machining, precision engineering, subcontract manufacturing, or a closely related sector.
- A proven record of winning industrial customers.
- An established network of relevant procurement and engineering contacts would be a strong advantage.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and discuss materials, machining processes, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements.
- Commercial understanding of quotation preparation, pricing, gross margin, and payment terms.
- Experience selling welded fabrications would be advantageous.
- A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant technical sales experience will also be considered.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in English.
- A valid driving license and willingness to travel regularly for customer visits.
