Role Description
The Business Development Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Heliopolis, focused on identifying and developing new business opportunities for OMSI’s facade, glazing, and aluminum systems solutions. This role involves analyzing market trends, building and maintaining relationships with consultants, architects, contractors, and developers, and preparing technical and commercial proposals that align with client requirements. The Business Development Engineer will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and sales teams to translate project specifications into competitive offers, support bid processes, and follow up on leads and ongoing projects. Daily responsibilities include conducting customer meetings and site visits, presenting OMSI’s products and technical capabilities, tracking sales pipelines, and providing feedback on market needs to inform product and service development. The role also includes preparing regular reports on business performance, ensuring accurate documentation, and contributing to long-term growth strategies.
Qualifications
- Strong business development and new business development skills, with experience in identifying opportunities and growing client portfolios.
- Solid sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to prepare and present technical-commercial proposals effectively.
- Robust analytical skills to evaluate market data, project specifications, pricing, and competitive positioning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders across the architectural and construction sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, architectural, mechanical, or related field) or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Experience in facade engineering, glazing systems, aluminum curtain walls, or construction materials is highly advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications, and coordinate with design and engineering teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with CRM tools and basic project management practices is beneficial.
- Capacity to work on-site in Heliopolis, manage multiple projects concurrently, and travel to client sites as required.
