What you'll do
Work closely with the leadership team to develop and execute strategic initiatives that support the growth and success of the business.
Establish and enhance a high-profile presence within the Public Sector market, strengthening Grant Thornton’s brand and reputation.
Work towards achieving Responsible Individual (RI) status, with responsibility for signing off audits as appropriate.
Oversee the day-to-day management of the audit team and portfolio, supporting the Partner in ensuring effective delivery and performance.
Build and maintain a strong network of internal and external relationships to support business development and identify new opportunities.
Manage a portfolio of key clients, developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients and colleagues.
Lead client engagement and relationship management across the Public Sector portfolio.
Take responsibility for agreeing and negotiating engagement fees, ensuring commercial objectives are met.
Skills & Experience
10 years of external audit experience gained within a leading international accountancy firm.
Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA or CPA).
Extensive post-qualification experience in external audit, with exposure to a diverse range of businesses and sectors.
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, internal controls and consolidated financial statements.
Established network of Public Sector clients and contacts within the UAE market.
Fluency in Arabic, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrable commercial acumen, with a strong interest in business development and contributing to the strategic growth of the audit practice.
Significant leadership experience within an audit practice, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
Proven experience managing large-scale audits, complex group engagements and challenging technical accounting matters.
Strong understanding of relevant regulatory, compliance and professional standards.
A track record of developing talent, inspiring teams and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
