Job DescriptionAbout Wynn Al Marjan Island:
Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. It will feature multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.
About The PositionWynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Assistant Manager – Floral Operations to join the resort’s Floral Operations team.
ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Support Floral Director in all phases of floral activities and keep alignment of all activities of the department.
- Ensure Team Members deliver Wynn Al Marjan Island’s high standards of quality by inspecting all front-of-house floral arrangements daily.
- Consult the Floral Director for approval of any major changes.
- Act on behalf of the Floral Director during his/her absence.
- Check all flowers in the front area daily and freshen the flower arrangements when necessary.
- Maintain good quality and cost control on all flower arrangements.
- Manage floral inventory and coordinate with the Floral Director.
- Ensure that all fresh flowers and floral accessories are properly stored in good condition and stocked adequately.
- Supervise daily operations within the floral department.
- Conduct regular inventory of flowers, vases and accessories items.
- Report any irregularities found within the department.
- Oversee department administration and manage operating expenses.
- Make suggestions for improvement of operation.
- Able to design and collaborate with Floral Designer to deliver the highest quality and best design around the resort and public areas.
- Accept any other duties when assigned by the Floral Director.
- Train and supervise Team Members to create team spirit and improve standards of arranging flowers.
- Coordinate floral arrangements for Banquet Event Orders and stay up-to-date with upcoming events and Floral needs
- Assist the Floral Director with training to the team members to ensure job skills are constantly improved and developed in accordance with the established training plan.
- Always check the grooming of all Team Members to ensure they comply with the established Wynn Al Marjan Island standards.
- Promote a work environment where employees feel valued, appreciated, involved and safe.
- Ensure that health and safety standards are closely monitored and constantly improved to avoid any health or injury hazards occurring from malpractices.
- Proactively participate in the hotel recycling program and promote a strict discipline to reduce, re-use and re-cycle wherever possible and appropriate.
About YouThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Requires 5 years’ experience in a 5-star integrated hotel/resort, with 3 years in leadership role
- Previous experience in Commercial Floral is preferrable
- Previous experience in large events, big-scale weddings, and shows is preferred
- Communication – Fluent in English
- Familiar with Western, Asian, and Middle Eastern flower design
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Presentable and is an excellent communicator and mentor
- Good in established leadership skills
- Proactive, Creative, and Innovative
- Physically fit
- Experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
