Job DescriptionAn Assistant Executive Housekeeper at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre, a Forbes Five-Star luxury hotel, plays a key leadership role in delivering exceptional housekeeping operations that reflect the hotel's commitment to luxury, elegance, and impeccable presentation. This role supports the Executive Housekeeper in fostering operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and creating memorable guest experiences through the highest standards of cleanliness and service.
ResponsibilitiesWhat will I be doing?As an Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you will support the Executive Housekeeper in the leadership and daily management of the Housekeeping department, ensuring operational excellence, effective team performance, and the consistent delivery of exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and service standards across guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities. Working collaboratively with all hotel departments, you will contribute to achieving guest satisfaction, maintaining Waldorf Astoria and Forbes Five-Star standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Specifically, you will be responsible for
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper in leading the Housekeeping operation to consistently deliver exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, guest satisfaction, and service excellence across guest rooms, public areas, offices, and meeting spaces, in alignment with hotel policies, brand standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Plan, coordinate, delegate, and oversee daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Housekeeping activities to optimize operational efficiency, productivity, resource utilization, and service consistency.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure full compliance with Waldorf Astoria brand standards, Forbes Five-Star expectations, quality assurance guidelines, and departmental operating procedures.
- Support the implementation and administration of departmental systems, policies, procedures, operational reports, planning processes, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall departmental performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop Housekeeping Supervisors and operational Team Members through effective communication, performance management, recognition, feedback, and engagement initiatives.
- Maintain the departmental training calendar in partnership with the Departmental Trainer, facilitate training programs, and ensure accurate documentation of training records, competencies, and colleague development activities.
- Ensure all Team Members are fully trained and consistently demonstrate Waldorf Astoria service standards, Forbes Five-Star requirements, luxury hospitality behaviors, and operational excellence.
- Monitor and ensure the safe handling, storage, and usage of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies in accordance with health, safety, hygiene, environmental, and hazardous materials regulations.
- Support effective inventory management, linen control, guest amenities management, and departmental cost control measures while maintaining operational standards and achieving budgetary objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Front Office, and other hotel departments to ensure timely resolution of maintenance concerns, room defects, and operational matters impacting guest satisfaction.
- Analyze guest feedback, quality assurance reports, and operational performance results to identify opportunities for improvement and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Support VIP arrivals, special guest requirements, departmental projects, and operational initiatives to ensure personalized service delivery and exceptional guest experiences.
- Promote and maintain a positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment that reflects Waldorf Astoria values, Hilton culture, and a commitment to colleague engagement and service excellence.
- Champion Forbes Five-Star standards, quality assurance practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of Housekeeping operations to consistently elevate guest experiences.

- Current experience as an Assistant Executive Housekeeper or in a similar leadership role within a luxury hotel.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of Forbes Five-Star standards.
- Extensive knowledge of housekeeping operations, sanitation practices, cleaning chemicals, and health and safety regulations.
- Sound understanding of inventory management, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate Team Members.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with Team Members, suppliers, and contractors.
- Proficiency in property management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Good analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret operational reports and performance data.
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Previous experience within the luxury hospitality sector in the UAE.
