The College of Health Sciences invites applications for Nursing Faculty positions at the Assistant/ Associate Professor rank. Candidates must have broad nursing expertise together with demonstrated clinical and/or teaching experience in mental health nursing. Experience in addictions, substance use disorders, or related behavioral health areas would be considered an asset.
ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Department Head, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of nursing courses acres the Department’s programs. Teaching responsibilities may include theory, laboratory, simulation, and clinical education in areas such as medical-surgical nursing, maternal-child health, pediatrics, mental health, critical care, and other areas aligned with the candidate’s expertise and departmental needs. S/he will evaluate student learning and progress and manage the resources of the learning environment.
The successful candidate will liaise with industry and other educational institutions; participate in industry advisory committees and coordinate, manage and control projects within the specified program area. Faculty members will keep course portfolio documents required for accreditation processes, contribute to curriculum and instructional development and improvement, and engage in scholarly, professional, and community life within the University and beyond.
