Role Description The Architect Technical Office role at SIA Design Studio is a full-time, on-site position based in New Cairo. The role involves developing and coordinating technical drawings, details, and specifications for architectural projects, ensuring compliance with design intent, standards, and regulations. Daily tasks include preparing construction documents, reviewing shop drawings, assisting in value engineering, and coordinating with design, site, and engineering teams. The Architect will support project documentation, participate in design reviews, and contribute to resolving technical issues during project execution. The role also requires maintaining organized project records, collaborating with consultants and suppliers, and adhering to project timelines and quality requirements.
Qualifications
- * Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate design concepts into detailed technical drawings and documents.
- Experience in Project Management, including coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, tracking deliverables, and supporting project schedules and quality standards.
- Familiarity with Software Development and Integration concepts as they relate to design tools, BIM workflows, and the coordination of digital project information.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and related visualization tools).
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field; professional licensure or progress toward licensure is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, building codes, and standards, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in an on-site team environment and coordinate with external stakeholders.
- Experience in sustainable design practices and interest in innovative, context-sensitive solutions are beneficial.
